Adult/Youth Recreation Facilitator
The Township of Penn is seeking applicants for the seasonal part-time position of Adult/Youth Recreation Facilitator for Penn Township at 2001 Municipal Court Harrison City PA 15636.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Penn Township Recreation Board is seeking a facilitator for it’s Summer Adult/Youth Recreation Program, to be conducted at Municipal Park, Harrison City, Pa. The position requires that the facilitator plan, organize, implement and monitor programs, activities and games for adults of age 55 and over, weekdays from 9:00 AM until noon, and for persons of age 14-55, weekdays from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Plan, organize, implement and monitor each day’s activities, games, and programs; and be able to modify as needed.
B. Make sure all equipment is properly maintained and made ready for use, returned and accounted for at the end of the day.
C. Report and correct potentially unsafe conditions.
D. Use equipment and materials in the manner for which they were designed.
E. Compile a weekly report for the PTARC Director on the results of the week’s participants and their activities.
F. Make suggestions for improvements to the overall Summer program to the PTARC director.
G. Additional instructions/guidelines for day to day activities may be provided by PTARC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
A. Be CPR and First Aid certified.
B. Have Pennsylvania Act 34, 151 & 114 clearances.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A. Be polite, respectful courteous, dependable, and trustworthy.
B. Be able to speak clearly and concisely in all situations.
C. Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
D. Be proactive and able to answer participant questions.
E. Have a working knowledge of all of the games being provided.
F. Meet with community residents to promote summer recreational programs and activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
One must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and be able to stand for long periods of time, and bend or stoop as needed. This position will require a high level of physical activity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position will involve primarily, outside work. There will be some time requirement for daily preparation and end of day activities, that may be partially indoors.
